PEDIATRIC THERAPY SERVICES

Below are descriptions of services that we provide.

Serving Myrtle Beach and the Surrounding Areas

CONSULTATION

Consultations are booked for 15 minute increments and typically occur via phone.

This service is great if you're considering an evaluation but you aren't sure if one is needed.  It also can be booked if you need further assistance beyond the weekly ST/OT session - to discuss additional strategies for language development and eliciting goals.

FAMILY TRAINING + EDUCATION

Teaching the Strategies that Help You Connect With Your Child

During a session we model strategies for our families; however, we also aim to give education that empowers families throughout the week via blog, handouts, carryover activities and ideas and more!  (Videos + Workshops in Development)

SPEECH + LANGUAGE SCREENINGS

A shortened protocol to determine if an evaluation is needed

Screenings are booked for 30 minutes and typically occur in person or virtually.  A speech and language screening allows an SLP to observe, elicit and determine if an evaluation is needed based on data gathered about the domains of language.

SPEECH + LANGUAGE EVALUATIONS

Comprehensive Initial Evaluation and Re - Evaluations

Evaluations are booked for 60 minutes.  Evaluations include parent interview, case history, medical history, structured observations, oral mechanism exams, formal and informal assessment.   For young children, the assessment is highly play-based; however, during the evaluation the Speech Language Pathologist will be able to gather enough information to create a differential diagnosis that will help guide therapy and the creation of an individualized care plan.  After the evaluation a written report and care plan will be shared and reviewed with family.
